The lodge had a cozy atmosphere, friendly staff, and great views. Loved the hot spa tubs, big fire place, and cool vibe with interesting photos. The kitchen was well equipped and there was a bar and breakfast available. Easy check-in and helpful owners.

Stayed at Pipers with my boyfriend for a skiing weekend. We were upgraded to an ensuite room as a birthday present. Diane, the owner, was fantastic and even went out of her way to help us with an iron and cream for my injury. Rented skiing gear from them which was great quality. The room had a cozy wooden lodge feel and the location was perfect for us, about a 20 min drive to Whakapapa. Would definitely stay here again.

I recently stayed at a lovely lodge in National Park and had a great experience. The staff was friendly and always ready to help, and the lodge offered great value for money. I enjoyed the free hot beverages and the clean shared toilets and bathrooms. The 4 bunkbed dorm I stayed in was comfortable and the central heating kept us warm at night. The spa pool was a fantastic way to relax after a long day of driving, and the shared kitchen was well-equipped. I highly recommend Pipers Lodge for a cozy and enjoyable stay.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always going out of their way to make us feel welcomed and answer any questions we had. They had great local knowledge and were able to recommend some fantastic restaurants and cafes around the area. The facilities were also excellent, with a well-equipped kitchen that had everything we needed, and the rooms were warm and comfortable with comfy mattresses and heaters. The bar and lounge area had a cozy atmosphere, perfect for relaxing after a day of activities.

One thing we didn't like was that the timber deck outside our room was quite noisy, with people walking up and down late into the night. It would be helpful if they added rubber matting or something similar to minimize the noise.

Had a fantastic time at this hotel! The retro ski lodge vibes were just like in the movies. The hot tubs were amazing, especially with their convenient operating hours. Our room was clean and spacious, with plenty of natural light. The owner was super friendly and accommodating. The complimentary tea and coffee were a nice touch. The private parking had enough space for all the guests. I highly recommend this hotel for a classy and enjoyable stay.
